Somehow we never crossed paths as kids, we lived less than a half mile away from each other, maybe it was the LIRR tracks that separated us. We have all the same childhood friends but it was at the travel agency that we met and became friends. This was not love at first site rather my admiration of his corny come on line….Nonetheless, I already had a ring on it. It took almost another lifetime for these nuptials to happen. What we now know - "you only have and get what is meant for you". So now we have each other for better or worse, for richer and richer and sickness and health.

This was actually funny…it was the eve of my cousin's wedding on December 17th. That night was totally exhausting in preparation for her wedding that following morning. At 1am, I am trying frantically to find the right dress to match my uggs due to the anticipated bad weather. William decides he wants to help, not so strange considering he likes to dress me up! What was odd was that he was still awake…I was crabby and disorientated. He was concerned about the accessories to go with the dress….I was like "I got this"…not enough room for both, my bad attitude and him in my closet. He disappeared so I figured he went to sleep…NOT! An hour later, I come out the closet and he says "Steph, how would you like this accessory to go with your dress?" I never looked down to see what the accessory was….so I stood there dumbfounded. What accessory??…. When I looked down, I didn't say a word for over 5 minutes….so he ended up asking the question to help me snap out of my fog….
If you know me, the YES was swift and 3 months later we were married on the beach in Barbados on March 22, 2017. Our immediate family came along to celebrate with us. We look forward to sharing in our love with all of our family and friends on Monday, September 4th (Labor Day).
